My journey with HONEYWELL started on 30th July’09. During my tenure I have worked across with various departments which have helped me gain knowledge & understand various processes. In HONEYWELL people learn more and gain more expertise in as short span, which generally won’t happen in any big MNC’s.
1st day in HONEYWELL, the experience of meeting the Leadership team and all other colleagues from different departments, helped me know their expectation in terms of deliverables and their guidance showed me the right path to achieve those targets / output.
Achievements are feasible if we have great support & guidance from our leaders. Would like to take this opportunity to thank all my colleagues for extending full support & co-operation which helped me to learn, grow & groom myself as an individual and as a leader. Every day brings us new task and challenges and challenges are the part of Facilities and branch operations.
The Toughest challenge I experienced as a Leader:
At times, one has to take decision that is necessary from the company point of view which may be tough as an individual in the team. Searching for suitable branch in new locations with all amenities is a challenge, at times brokers gives you all kind of false statements and facts to sell his property and you need to find the best property among all keeping in mind the cost effectiveness. At times they say
“Kaha sir aap bhi itne main kaha property milegi magar aap tension na le kuch na kuch dhudnte hain” as they wanted to show their importance
My experience during finalizing the Cochin property. I reached Cochin for the first time and came to know that there is a transport strike and no taxi/ cab will operate from 8am till 6pm. My plan for the day was schedule and I had to have looked at the properties, for which I had come down. As no option was left for me other than to call up broker. Broker showed me all the properties by taking me on his bike and it was a Dhoom 2 – Crazy drive life time experience. Though the weather was hot and humid, but I was able to manage and stay there for 2 days, because the people were nice. Over all first time visit to the Cochin City was a very good experience for me.
Role Model
Every individual has something good in him/her and if you see someone with a positive trait you should learn from them. Therefore I have always, in every sphere of my life, have tried to look upto people who has added value in my life in terms of thinking positive and to be optimistic.
